STONE DETAILS

Tiger Eye This stone takes its name from its colour and iridescence which resemble that of a cat’s eye. Tiger Eye is a silicon, which belongs to the quartz family, and has a mobile reflection. The iridescent stripe has a golden yellow colour, and the colour of the stone depends on different inclusions. It is characterized by the trigonal crystal system and the hardness of 6,5-7 on the Mohs scale. This stone can be found in different countries such as S. Africa, India, China and Burma.

Onyx The word Onyx comes from the ancient Greek and means nail. It is a silicone dioxide-that is a type of Quartz, and has a hardness of 6- 7 on the Mohs scale. It is characterized by the trigonal crystal system and can be found in Brazil, Mexico, Algeria, Uruguay and India, to name just a few.
