STONE DETAILS

This mineral is a natural combination of Azurite and Malachite. The dark blue color is due to Azurite, while its intense green color is due to Malachite.It is a basic carbonate copper mineral with a monoclynic crystal system and a hardness of 3.5-4.0 on the Mohs scal.The main areas in which Azurite-Malachite may be found are Africa, southeast Asia, the USA, China and Greece.
