Lava As Lava, we identify magma, which is composed of molten rock that has been forcibly expelled from the interior of a volcano, but the term Lava, may also pertain to the cooled and stable volcanic rock, resulting from the expulsion. Lava is formed by the internal temperatures of the planet in the form of magma, and reaches temperatures of between 700oC to 1200oC on its expulsion into the atmosphere.

Chrysocolla Chrysocolla takes its name from the two Greek words “chryso” and “colla”, because it bears a strong resemblance to the substance used to solder gold in ancient times. Chrysocolla is an aluminum silicate which is characterized by the orthorhombic crystal system and the hardness of 2-4 on the Mohs scale. Chrysocolla can be found in different countries, some of which are Chile, the USA, Russia, Great Britain, Peru, Greece, and Mexico.
