STONE DETAILS

Sodalite The Origin of the word Sodalite, derives from its chemical description due to the presence of sodium on its makeup . It is a calcium silicate, and is usually a dark blue colour with white/grey patches. It is characterized by the cubic crystal system and the hardness of 5-6 on the Mohs scale. Sodalite can be discovered predominantly in India, Canada, and the USA.

Hematite Hematite comes from the Greek word «αίμα» which means Blood and it is an Iron Oxide. Its hardness on the Mohs scale is 6 and it is characterized by the  Hexagonal crystal system. Hematite can be found in various countries, including Brazil, Australia, and New Zealand.
