Apatite The word Apatite comes from the Greek “apatw”(fraud) because it is often amalgamated with other minerals. Apatite is a phosphoric calcite characterized by the hexagonal crystal system and the hardness of 5 on the Mohs scale. Apatite can be found in many countries, including Brazil, USA, India Sri Lanka, Pakistan Africa and Mexico.

Hematite Hematite comes from the Greek word “aima” which means Blood, due to the red coloration found in some varieties of Hematite. It is an Iron Oxide, which is characterized by the hexagonal crystal system and the hardness of 5.5-6.5 on the Mohs scale. Hematite can be found in various countries, including Brazil, the USA, Australia, and New Zealand.
