Jasper The origins of the name of Jasper are not well documented, but the roots are almost certainly Eastern. Jasper is a silicate mineral, which belongs to the tectosilicate group and Quartz family. It is characterized by the trigonal crystal system and the hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale. Jasper can be found in many countries, including India, Germany, China, Russia, USA and Brazil.

Hematite The word Hematite comes from the Greek word “aima” which means Blood, due to the red coloration found in some varieties of Hematite. It is an Iron Oxide, which is characterized by the hexagonal crystal system and the hardness of 5.5-6.5 on the Mohs scale. Hematite can be found in various countries, including Brazil, the USA, Australia, and New Zealand.
