CRYSTAL DETAILS

Citrine Quartz takes its name from the French word “citron”, which means lemon, due to the yellow color of the stone. It is a silicone mineral of the quartz family, which belongs to the tectosilicate group. It is characterized by the trigonal crystal system and the hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale. Its color is due to the presence of trivalent iron. Citrine can be found in many countries, including Brazil, Madagascar, Russia, Uruguay, Spain, Argentina and Mexico.
