STONE DETAILS
The word Citrine has its origins in the Franche word “citron”, which means lemon, due to the yellow colour of the stone. It is a silicone mineral of the Quartz family, and crystalises in the trigonal system. Its colour is due to the presence of trivalent iron. Its hardness is measured at 7 on the Mohs scale. Citrine may be found in many countries, including Brazil, Magadascar, Russia and Kazahkstan.
