STONE DETAILS

The Origin of the word Sodalite, derives from its chemical description due to the presence of sodium on its makeup . It is a calcium silicate, and is usually a dark blue colour with white patches. It crystalises in cubic form, and on the Mohs scale, measures 5-6.  Sodalite may be discovered predominantly in India, Canada, and the USA.
