STONE DETAILS

The name of this stone is believed to come from either the Arabic word “faridat” which means “precious stone” or the French word “peritot” which means “unclear”. It is from the tectosilicate group of minerals, and crystallizes in the rhombic system. It is characterized by the hardness of 6.5-7 on the Mohs scale and the darkness of its green colour depends on how iron there is. Peridote can be found in different countries, including Afghanistan, Egypt, Brazil, the USA and Pakistan.

STONE PROPERTIES  

Peridote is famously used to cleanse the Aura, thereby reducing anxiety and dispelling anger, at the same time guarding against jealousy.
