Picture Jasper The name of this kind of Jasper is due to its colours that make is look like a picture. Jasper is a member of the Quartz family, which is characterized by the trigonal crystal system and the hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale.  Picture Jasper can be found in many places, including Africa and America.

Hematite Hematite comes from the Greek word “aima” which means Blood and it is an Iron Oxide. It is characterized by a hexagonal crystal system and a hardness of 6 on the Mohs scale. Hematite can be found in various countries, including Brazil, Australia, and New Zealand.
