STONE DETAILS
Tiger Eye This stone takes its name from its colour and iridescence which resemble that of a tiger’s eye. Tiger’s eye is a silicone mineral, which belongs to the tectosilicate group and quartz family with a mobile reflection. It is characterized by the trigonal crystal system and the hardness of 6.5-7 on the Mohs scale. This stone can be found in different countries such as S. Africa, India, China and Burma.
Hematite The word Hematite comes from the Greek word “aima” which means Blood, due to the red coloration found in some varieties of Hematite. It is an Iron Oxide, which is characterized by the hexagonal crystal system and the hardness of 5.5-6.5 on the Mohs scale. Hematite can be found in various countries, including Brazil, the USA, Australia, and New Zealand.
