Rhodochrosite The origin of Rhodochrosite comes from the Greek word of the same name describing the color of the stone. It is from the manganese carbonate family in the Calcite vein. It is classified in the trigonal crystal system and the hardness of 3.5- 4 on the Mohs scale. Rhodochrosite is sourced mainly from the USA, Peru,, Mexico, Argentina, Rumania and South Africa.

Crystal Quartz The name for this mineral derives from the Greek word “xalaza”, which means hail, due to the fact that in ancient times many people believed that it is solidified water. It is a silicone mineral, which crystalises in the trigonal/hexagonal system. Its hardness is measured at 7 on the Mohs scale. Crystal Quartz may be found in various countries, including Brazil, the USA, Sri Lanka, India and Madagascar.
