Agate consists mainly of chalcedony and quartz and It is a silicate mineral, belonging to the tectosilicate group. Its chemical formula is silicon dioxide and It belongs to the Quartz family. Agate is characterized by the trigonal crystal system and the hardness of 6.5-7 on the Mohs scale. It can be found in many countries, including Brazil, Italy, Greece, Peru and Mexico.

Amethyst The word Amethyst has its origins in the Greek words “a” and “methw” Not Intoxicated, as in years gone by, it was believed that Amethyst protected against drunkenness. Amethyst belongs to the quartz family and it is a silicate mineral with a chemical formula SiO₂. Its color is due to the presence of iron. Amethyst is characterized by the trigonal crystal system and the hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale. Amethyst is derived mostly from Brazil and Uruguay.
