STONE DETAILS

Dumortierite It named after the French paleontologist Eugene Dumortier, who first discovered it. It is a fibrous variably colored aluminium boro-silicate mineral. Dumortierite is characterized by the orthorhombic crystal system and the hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale. Dumortierite can be found in many countries including Brazil, Austria, France, Italy, Peru , Russia, Sri Lanka and Canada.

Hematite Hematite comes from the Greek word «αίμα» which means Blood and it is an Iron Oxide. It is characterized by the hexagonal crystal system and the hardness of 6 on the Mohs scale. Hematite can be found in various countries, including Brazil, Australia, and New Zealand.
