Lava As Lava, we identify magma, which is composed of molten rock that has been forcibly expelled from the interior of a volcano, but the term Lava, may also pertain to the cooled and stable volcanic rock, resulting from the expulsion. Lava is formed by the internal temperatures of the planet in the form of magma, and reaches temperatures of between 700oC to 1200oC on its expulsion into the atmosphere.
Hematite Hematite comes from the Greek word «αίμα» which means Blood and it is an Iron Oxide. It is characterized by the hexagonal crystal system and the hardness of 6 on the Mohs scale. Hematite can be found in various countries, including Brazil, Australia, and New Zealand.
