STONE DETAILS

Citrine Quartz Citrine quartz takes its name from the French word “citron”, which means lemon, due to the yellow color of the stone. It is a silicone mineral of the quartz family, which belongs to the tectosilicate group. It is characterized by the trigonal crystal system and the hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale. Its color is due to the presence of trivalent iron. Citrine can be found in many countries, including Brazil, Madagascar, Russia, Uruguay, Spain, Argentina and Mexico.

Amethyst The word Amethyst has its origins in the Greek words “a” and “methw” Not Intoxicated, as in years gone by, it was believed that Amethyst protected against drunkenness. Amethyst belongs to the quartz family and it is a silicate mineral with a chemical formula SiO₂. Its color is due to the presence of iron. Amethyst is characterized by the trigonal crystal system and the hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale. Amethyst is derived mostly from Brazil and Uruguay.
