STONE DETAILS

Its name derives from the German word “Calcit”, which created by the Latin word “calx”, that means lime. Calcite belongs to the category of carbonate minerals and its chemical formula is CaCO₃. It is characterized by the trigonal crystal system and the hardness of 3 on the Mohs scale. Calcite can be found in many countries, including Brazil, Germany, England, China, Canada, the USA, Russia, Mexico, Romania and Pakistan.
